How to enter a scene RP Etiquette

How to enter a scene the fair play way.

------------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever wondered how to delicately enter a scene and allow a fair amount of time for other players to respond to your presence;

Or when you should post yourself into a scene?

Knowing what is going on in a scene before a player places their character amongst order is very important. As a player has the ability to change the outcome of any scene already in process. Keeping this in mind the moment a player enters is important. So when do you enter?

To keep things fair for all players a simple easy to remember method to not only know what is going on in the scene before you enter but place your character within the scene in a polite manner that gives others a chance to respond accordingly to your characters presence.

So in this example there are 2 players <Player A, & Player B> Your characters is <Player C>

Before Player C (your character) enters a scene  you need to know what is going on! Are characters fighting? Are they talking about something secret? You never know what physical engagement characters within SL are in unless you sit there and listen first. So this is how to enter a scene.

1. Listen.  See 2 post from every player in the scene before posting an entrance.  (Your order for entering the scene will be after all players in the scene have posted so in this case after player B has posted twice.)

Before Player C (you) enters you must wait and listen for two post from every player within chat distance. (10meters)

2. Post your arrival but do NOT interact with the scene.

This gives players a post to acknowledge your presence and be able to respond to your character walking up or sitting close by.. Without them knowing what your character is doing they would have no way to clearly react in their roleplay to your presence.So your post should be clear as to what you are doing without yet interacting or changing the outcome of a pre-existing scene.

3. Listen again for every player in the scene to post their responses to your characters arrival.

4. Interact with scene. Player C (you) may now enter the scene safely. You now know what the other players are up to physically and what is possibly being said aloud.. Your awareness makes your entrance more realistic as now you can post an entrance that corresponds to what your character might see happening. And then other characters were given a chance to respond to your presence.. On your second post within the scene you may now interact fairly.. By talking to them or hitting/crying whatever may be a reaction necessary for the scene you have entered upon.
